Removed (2) 10 mm bolts fastening Air Cleaner Housing, Carb, Carb Insulator and Gaskets to Engine Block. Scraped remaining Gasket from Intake Port and reassembled with New Parts. Runs Like Brand New.
1. Closed fuel shut off valve.
2. Removed air box cover & filter.
3. With a 10mm socket, removed two long screws which hold all the replaced pieces together (less the air box housing) from the air box housing.
4. Slid back the spring clamp securing the fuel line to the carb & removed fuel line from carb.

... Read moreved single spring linkage from throttle plate end (on carb).
6. Tilting carb now allowed choke & throttle linkage to slip out of their respective mount holes on choke & throttle.
7. Carb free to remove entirely at this point. Intake gasket & air guide gasket may stick to carb, remove as necessary, clean if needed. (I didnÆt)
8. Install new parts in the stack up order seen when removing. Reinstall in reverse order.
This was really simple. Engine started on third pull and runs perfectly like it did when new.
I cleaned out the carburetor for spring and disassembled the carburetor. When I pulled out the two bolts that hold the air cleaner to the carburetor, the carburetor and all of the gaskets fell out. when I replaced them my mower did not run properly. I bought a workshop manual and all new gaskets to show me the orientation of the gaskets

1. Removed two bolts securing carburetor and any springs necessary to free carb.
2. Removed float bowl.
3. Removed old gaskets from float bowl rim. I used the Exacto knife to scrape it out. It was pretty well stuck to the surface of the groove.
4. Clean float bowl components.
5. Removed old gaskets from carb.

8. Reconnect springs and re-insert bolts through carb and gaskets.

Tried to soak carb but would not come clean, decided to replace carb assembly
1. Removed old carb
2. Aligned gaskets, 3 separate gaskets, this was the tricky part since the bolts go through the air filter housing.

4. Re-installed throttle cable and governor spring
5. Reattached fuel line to carb
