Product Description

?

Genuine Oster Pro replacement part, this product is sold in a set of two. It also includes the Brush Springs. It is used on the Clipper models shown below. Replacing brushes can fix a motor that's operating intermittently. Carbon brushes are one of the most commonly replaced power tool parts. A worn-out brush will often be worn down and can be cracked, pitted, or burned. If a Brush is burned or scored, it is advised to inspect the armature and field for damage.

No special instructions needed for installation.. It\'s nice that ereplacements has a diagram of the model... It could be a bit clearer but it did work.. I\'ve had to use this site 3 or four times it is very useful.. I make money with my clippers it\'s good to be able to repair on my own and get back to business..

Take top cover off by removing 2 screws, remove lever, clean out old grease, re-grease, install washer and lever, replace cover, remove brushes one at a time, replace, apply AC, and starts every time. Have less clatter then before therefore I may need another internal part, will investigate at a later time.

Removed switch cover nut with pliers and cover plate with small phillips screwdriver, took a few pics for reference of wire placement. Removed two screws that held wires and removed switch and cord. Reversed that process and repair was finished. Replaced brush and spring assemblies and lubed clippers while on repair bench. Very simple rep air and saved around $100 plus downtime.

Removed both brush spring assemblies from either side, replaced them. Should have done this first, but didn\'t know what a brush spring assembly was until I you tubed it. Unfortunately this was after I replaced the power switch. Overall, didn\'t need to take the whole thing apart, so I was pleased with myself!
