Easy repair
I’m no mechanic, but your anatomy diagram of my chainsaw was well drawn. It was easy to identify and purchase the broken part. For a reasonable fee I was able to unscrew a couple screws and pop in the replacement gear. I didn’t have to pay a repairman nor buy a new chain saw. Thank you!

Removed chain housing cap, and removed the three screws that hold the gears for chain adjustment, then replaced the part. Replaced the cover and chain cap.
