    , Filter wrench, spark plug socket & ratchet

    1. Shut off power to unit
    2. Drained oil & removed oil filter and installed new one after putting oil in filter
    3. Filled oil to proper level
    4. Changed spark plug after setting spark plug gap to proper specs
    5. Replace air filter element
    6. Turned power back on and started, then shut off
    7. Checked for any leaks after repair and rechecked the oil level

    Run the engine for 10 minutes to heat the oil. Shut down and disable the generator. Drain the oil. Remove the old filter. Clean the oil filter mating surface. Apply clean oil to the new filter gasket. Install the filter and tighten to the recommended number of turns. Add the new oil. Make sure everything is sealed. Run the generator in manual for 5 minutes. Shut down the engine and let the oil drain. Check the oil level to make sure the engine is filled to the proper level.
