This is an important part of the chain tensioner which in conjunctions with tension screw (sold separately) allow user to tighten or loosen the chain. It is a genuine OEM sourced replacement part designed for use with Husqvarna chainsaws. This part is made out of plastic material and it is sold individually. If the chainsaw bar doesn’t adjust when you turn the tension nut or the screw are usually worn or damaged.

It's important to note that the plastic or nylon nut must be threaded completely down to the head of the screw where there is a groove for it. Without that plastic nut, the screw could loosen up during use and fall out. Likely why mine went missing to start with.
The saw is an old model but runs good. Glad to be able to find parts for it to keep it going. New saws aren't cheap.

2. Remove the chain and the bar.
3. Remove the oiler cover plate.
4. Remove the old pawl.
5. Install the new pawl, the screw, and the nut.
6. Reassemble and adjust the chain tension.

2. Removed small oiler cover.
3. Installed new screw, nut, and pawl.
4. Replaced cover.
5. Replaced bar and chain.
Lost screw that holds tension on chain saw bar, nut and flange nut.

2. Removed protective plate covering where the adjustment screw was located
3. Installed new screw with new nut to hold the adjustment screw in place
4. Installed protective plate covering adjustment screw
5. Reinstalled chair bar and chain
6. Reinstalled cover with new flange nut that was lost also.

2. Remove the chain and bar
3. Clean the debris from the tensioner area
4. Place the nut in the end of the slot closest to engine
5. Thread screw through the slide pin (it will be tight to thread)
6. Slide screw and pin back toward engine and seat end of screw into nut
7. Replace bar, chain, and cover
8. Tension chain properly
9. Tighten cover
