    The muffler arrived on-time and in good shape. Took me a few minutes to install, as the attachment points were not threaded, but the self-tapping screws that held its predecessor readily self-tapped again, and I was in business. Great to be able use this mower again.

    1. Removed engine cover/hood
    2. Removed muffler underbody shield
    3. Removed/loosen hood bracket assembly
    4. Loosen exhaust pipe from the engine
    5. Had to use attachment bolts to make new threads in the muffler bracket
    6. Installed muffler
    7. Reversed process
    8. You do need to have some mechanical skills for this process

    1. Disconnected the headlights cord.
    2. Removed the engine cover.
    3. Remove the bumper.
    4. Remove the muffler screws.
    5. Replace the old muffler w/the new one.
    6. Reassemble steps 4,3,2,&1.

    Remove the bolts holding the muffler
    Removed the screw holding the exhaust tube
    Remove the exhaust tube
    Installed the new exhaust tube with the new gasket
    Installed the new muffler

    2. Removed pulley that attaches to the idler return spring.
    3. Removed old worn idler arm.
    4. Installed new idler arm, pulley and deck.

    The steering wheel broke off and the muffler had a large crack in it

    Had to start the two bolts off the mower beforehand because threads were very tight

    Start bolts while off the mower with WD-40 because the threads are so tight. Once that was done, the muffler went on very easily.

    Muffler cracked

    1. Open hood
    2. Unplug wire harness for headlights
    3. Lift hood up and away to remove.
    4. Unscrew 2 bolts holding muffler guard
    5. Unscrew 2 bolt holding muffler.
    6. Muffler will drop out bottom of frame.
    7. Replace muffler. New holes are not tapped, easier to screw original self tapping bolts in first to tap holes.
    8. Replace muffler guard
    9. Replace hood

    1. Removed 2 bolts holding exhaust pipe to engine
    2. Removed 2 bolts holding muffler to the frame
    3. Scrapped old exhaust gasket from engine block
    4. Installed new gasket exhaust pipe and muffler.
    5. Installed 2 mounting bolts holding muffler to frame.
