I read on ereplacementparts what others did first
    Removed trimmer guard
Removed gearbox at trimmer head (3 screws) and clamp
Removed 2 screws on the lower shaft
Cleaned all the old grease from the gears and bearings (inspect the gears, if chipped clean everything before reassembly)
Inserted new flex shaft from the bottom and reassembled in reverse order.
    Nothing to it!
It took me a bit longer because I cleaned everything to insure bits of chipped gears were not present before reassembly.
