1. Removed nuts on both ends of old shift link.
2. Inserted new shift link into the holes in the linkage for both the shift lever and transmission arm.
3. Threaded and tightened the lock nuts onto each end of the new shift link.

Simply removed the nuts from the old shift link and removed part parts of it. Then used the nuts to install the new one
