Screwdriver, Pliers, Socket set, Adjustable Wrench

1.Drain fuel from tank and disconnected fuel line from engine.
2.Took off the fuel tank and pulled vent line out of frame hole and fuel line up thought routing hole.
3.Cleaned off tank and connections.
4.Installed new vent line with me line clamp and line to a shut off valve I installed new on tractor, then to fuel filter. Then to carburetor.
5. Stuck the vent line back into frame hole and screwed tank back on and put gas in and tested shut off valve and checked for leaks.

1. Removed the fuel line and rinsed out the gas tank.
2. Removed the linkage and spring returns, then loosened the carburetor nuts.
3. Carburetor and gaskets came off easily.
4. Installed the new carburetor and gaskets, then the linkage and springs.
5. Filled the tank with fresh gas and primed the motor about 10 times.
6. The engine started on the 4th pull and now starts on the second pull regularly.
7. The new parts were exact replacements for the Kohler engine and all fit perfectly.
8. This was one of the jobs that went as smooth as you could hope for and the motor now runs perfectly!

Sat too long this last winter, also mice made a hotel in the engine compartment.

Simple, drill down method. Start at the top, remove the old, eaten, or otherwise worn out items until satisfied with whats left. Reinstall in reverse order, test run, mow yard.
