Squeaking noise was coming out the left rod bushing

Mark - February 14, 2018
Tool Type

Treadmill

Difficulty

Medium

Time

15-30 minutes

Tools Used

Screwdriver, Power Drill, Socket set, Allen wrench.

1-Raised the treadmill platform to a 10.5 incline so the allen socket can be accessible.
2-Turned off the treadmill and unplugged it.
3-Removed the top portion of the treadmill and the side posts to be able to reach the bottom bolts holding the lift rod. Need to catch the internal nut to be able to remove the bolts.
4-Removed the retractable support rod that holds the treadmill in the fold up position. Bottom of platform
5-Lifted the frame with a hydraulic jack, from the front side to access the posts. Makes the job easier due to the heavy weight of the treadmill.
6-Loosened the two bolts on the lift rod on the left side.
7-Removed the old bushing and spacer on the left side and installed the new ones.
8-Repeated step 7 for the right side.
8-Installed the posts and lowered the jack
9-Installed the top portion of the treadmill
10-Reinstalled the retractable rod
11-plugged the treadmill in and took it for a test drive.

I am a seasoned handy man so it maybe a little challenging for a novice. But with some patience it can done.
