I had ro remove old part that broke off that still in router. At first, I thought it was part of the assembly so it was confusong at first but I figured out and completed the repair. It is 100% ok now.

The plastic lever cracked in half, not allowing height adjustment.

Plastic retainer for depth adjustment was broken

Lever is made of plastic. The tool is 10 plus years old. Most likely broke because of age.

1. Remove the handle with the Phillips screwdriver and nut driver.
2. Pull the shaft out the bottom through the hole provided for this purpose.
3. Remove broken lever parts with attached spring.
4. Reinstall the spring on new lever part and reinstall lever and spring.
5. Then reinstall the shaft. Now put the handle on.
