    Perfect replacement
These spindles were exact replacements s as nc perfect fit. They straightened my outward facing tires almost straight, but now I need to find a left steering linkage bar which should make it drive straight again. I’m always grateful for the the wonderful resource that ereplacementparts.com has been.

These were easy to get and easy to install. Just make sure you have grease to refill the knuckles. Just saying.... Exact fit and matched the oem pieces at far less cost.

Put the mower on jacks in front and block the back wheels. Check for sturdiness. Remove the front wheels, by removing the klip ring and two washers then the tire and on other washer, set aside together. Next remove the nut and washer from the RH draglink. and set aside. Remove the thrust bearing race from between the RH spindle assembly and the axle assembly and set aside. Now remove the washer, klip ring and spindle cap from the top of the RH spindle. and remove the old spindle. Now place the new spindle in the axle with the thrust bearing race between the axle and the RH spindle. Now put all of the parts that you set aside and install them in reverse order. When you're done with that, now do the left side. You know what you're doing now. Have fun and be careful.

Jacked up tractor removed both front tires to get to the spindle. Removed the tie rod using a open end wrench and a ratchet and socket. To remove the spindle there is one e-clip under the plastic dust cover on top. Taking the dust cover off was the hardest part since the tractor is 18 years old and they were rock hard. I used 2 small flat screw drivers to get under the lip and worked around getting them off. I used a small flat screwdriver to remove the e-clip and the spindle dropped out the bottom. There are 2 plastic sleeves inside where the spindle goes one top one bottom that need to be inspected and cleaned and lubricated I suggest graphite. Reassembly is just as easy just do in reverse order and and use channel lock plier to put the e-clip back on. The top dust caps go back on much easier than they came off. Since mine are 18 years old and rock hard I used a cup of boiling water and dropped the dust caps in for a few moments and they became soft and pliable and slid right on. Job done install the tires.
