The on/off switch was faulty and didn't function properly.

    Tool Type

    Trimmer

    Difficulty

    Easy

    Time

    15-30 minutes

    Tools Used

    Screwdriver, Needle nose pliers

The switch replacement was relatively simple and straight forward. I separated the handle exposing the switch. Using a pair of needle nose pliers I removed the two (2) wires connected to the switch. Gently prying the old switch from the case was easy and only required the use of a thin flat blade. The new switch was placed into the opening and popped into place. Reattching the two (2) wired is sort of tedious within the tight space. Again, the needle now=se pliers worked well.
Reattaching the handle pieces requires some trial and error moves. Getting the throttle lever back in place is very critical at this point..The throttle lever is only held in place by pressure from the handle halves. Before attaching the screws be sure to actuate the throttle lever to assure it moves freely both in and returns on its on to the neutral position.
Attaching the screws is a simple step with you T25 Torx bit.
Check for proper operation by following your prescribed starting procedures.
    Happy trimming

Unscrewed four screws that hold the housing together, pushed switch out of housing, disconnect two wires from switch. Connect wires on new switch, push new switch into housing, screw housing back together. Good to go. No special instructions, remember housing is plastic don't cross thread the screws
