4. Reassembled the saw.

2. Remove kerf board.
3. Remove handle.
4. Remove Center nut and bolt that secures table to the base.
5. Remove 2 Phillips screws that secure metal spring steel clip to miter table.
6. Separate saw and table from the base.
7. Remove damaged parts, and inspected base and miter table for cause of part failure.
8. Used 400 grit silicon carbide sanding belt remnant to smooth the surfaces that showed signs of wear, thoroughly cleaned surfaces with mineral spirits, wiped clean.
9.installed new slide plates (3) onto base, applied light coating of white grease to top side of slide plates.
10. Applied liberal amount of white grease to center hub of the miter table, set miter table onto the base, installed center bolt and nut.
11. Tightened center nut, do not over tighten, tighten the nut to the point where the table operates smoothly. Make sure that the miter table and base are firmly attached.
12. Installed new kerf boards.
13. Installed fence, make sure to square the blade to the fence.
14. Installed spring steel clip, screwed in handle.
15. Installed new carbon brush set.
16. Checked operation of tool.

I unbolted the fence, removed the old kerf boards, cleaned and sanded using 120 grit to remove glue and what ever from the table, used compressed air to clean everything well and install new kerf boards , re-install the fence.
