I had inadvertently sucked up a small wood chunk with the vac part of my Toro blower/vac which knocked a piece of one of the impeller vanes off.

Removed the vacuum shaft (just as you do when switching from vac to blower).
Removed nut that holds the impeller in place.
Slipped the old impeller off.
Slipped the new impeller on.
Tightened the old retainer nut back on the end of the drive shaft.
Reattached the vac shaft and bag to test.
Unit ran smoothly and had adequate suction.
