Impeller fin broken, causing imbalance and intolerable vibration.

    George - June 4, 2021
    Tool Type

    Vacuum

    Difficulty

    Medium

    Time

    30-60 minutes

    Tools Used

    Screwdriver, Adjustable Wrench

    1. On the vacuum blower, located and removed screws that keeps the body together.
    2. To remove the impeller, with pliers such as vise grips, grip the end of the shaft to hold it, and remove the impeller by rotating it in a counter clockwise direction, mine came off easily.
    3. To replace. (The new impeller did not have threads) so the motor shaft was self tapping, so hold the end shaft with the vise grip while with some force rotate the impeller clockwise and rotate the impeller until it’s installed.
    4. Reinstall the body and secure the screws.
5, test and it works as good as new.
    6. Yay
