This heavy-duty ice container assembly, or ice bin assembly, stores and manages ice produced by the ice maker of your refrigerator. It includes a plastic container with a lid, an ice dispenser chute, and a mechanism for releasing ice as needed. The assembly also features the auger and blades responsible for dispensing the ice. It is easy to clean and is dishwasher-safe. Located inside the freezer compartment, a broken ice container assembly can make unusual noises during operation or have visible damage to the container or dispenser chute. Additionally, if the container fails to properly hold ice, the assembly needs to be replaced. To remove the assembly, open the freezer door and turn off the icemaker by lifting the bail arm. Then, lift the front of the bin and slide it forward. Align the connector on the back of the assembly with the yolk and ensure the locating hole matches the locating pin. Place the ice bin on the holder, align the yolk, and turn the auger to slide it in completely. Finally, lower the bail arm on the icemaker and turn it back on. This replacement part was sourced directly from its original equipment manufacturer.
