    Fantastic Service!
[I posted this on my Facebook page the day I received my second order.] (Why can't everyone be like this?) Totally unsolicited recommendation. If you need parts for your lawn equipment, check local. If you still cannot find it, go here first: ereplacementparts.com for your parts. Ordered twice from them and always top-notch service. Ordered the last part on THURSDAY afternoon. Had the part in my hand TUESDAY at noon. Correct part and excellent service.

Extremely easy, just wish the description for the mulch plug assembly said it came with the torsion spring, pin, and base... I bought them separately not the end of the world now I have back ups. To assemble locate the bolt head on the bottom of mower deck (may need to scrape away built up grass crud) and remove with socket. Discard broken part and reuse the bolt and bolt back in the new base - mulch plug assembly.

, Ryobi impact driver, Milwaukee Tools accessory kit

The first thing I did was remove the remaining piece of the trail guard shield. The new one snapped easily into place. The next thing I did was turn the mower on edge (disconnecting the spark plug, of course) and using a paring knife I scraped away the built up grass from the bolt. Having done that I used the 3/8th nut driver (that came in the Milwaukee Accessory kit) and removed the mulch plug. The part that was broken fell away so I removed that and then I installed the new plug (it fell right into place) then I gave the bolt a couple of turns to get it started then I took the impact and tightened it back up. The man at my lawn mower repair shop instructed me on how to perform the repair. He told me how easy it was and he was right! The impact driver was a tremendous asset doing this repair. Remember: Safety first. Always disconnect the spark plug before starting ANY repair.

Turn lawn mower over. Used a small wrench to remove nut. Had to put screw in head of the mulch lid and screw it in and take apart and then the screw made marks so the screw fit. I'm a woman. I know it sounds strange, but I figured it out :)

Mulching plug broke and would not stay closed

    Socket set, Stiff putty knife

Inserted the putty knife between the bracket and plug to remove the tension from the spring to allow the bracket to set in place easier.

I recommend stating the spring and bracket come with the plug. I ordered a spring as well, that was not actually needed.

Mulching plug, side chute, air filter and cover were missing.

    James - April 27, 2021
Removed the one bolt holding the bracket for the mulching plug and installed the new one in its place. Ordered a new pin and torsion spring, but it came with them already installed. I had to use a small pry bar to align the bracket that's under spring tension, to the mower deck

Installed the new air filter and cover after thoroughly cleaning the area. This mower belongs to a friend that asked me to fix it up for him.

Removed broken mulch plug spring loaded hinge and put new hinge and plug back on and removed old wheels by unscrewing a single axle bolt, removed old wheels, put new wheels on axle with bolt, tightened down bolt. Done.
Even though the wheels I ordered were not listed for my model mower they were the exact same drive wheel on my mower saving me about $16.00 per wheel!
