What I needed, on time, fixed.
The head valve I needed arrived on time. My old one was so broken up I didn't even know what it was, so their diagram really helped. Inserted, the old staple gun works fine now! Great deal.

Perfect replacement part for my Craftsman air brad/nail gun. Made of white nylon. Simple installation, back in working order. Don't forget to add a few drops of oil into the air inlet prior to using your gun.

    Bostic head valve
My nail gun was a hand me down and one day it wouldn't work when I took the back cap off there was many pieces of fragmented plastic. Replacement parts had a schematic and i figured from the pieces I had it must have been the Head Valve, I had the new one within a couple days, the part dropped right in and my guns shooting brads as if it was new again, a new gun would have been $150 and I fixed mine for under $10!

Before I attempted to look for parts I completely disassembled the air tool (Craftsman Brad Nail Gun) to look for a failed part or seal. It helps to have the available parts sheet that illustrates the assembly, I would highly recommend that you have that before disassembly/assembly. Also make sure you clean the inside of the tool after its disassembled. Compressed air has moisture and over the years with use grime builds up inside the tool so make sure to take the time to clean it. The only questionable part I saw that could cause the air leak was the head valve. Its made of plastic and one edge was brittle and I saw a lot of cracks. My intention was to only replace all the seals, but once I went on-line to look for the seal kits I discovered they weren't available anymore. The repair tips on the website gave me the confidence that what I was ordering was going to fix my problem. I reassembled the nail gun with the new head valve and I was pleasantly surprised when the gun operated like it should. eReplacementParts saved me from tossing my tool in the scrap bin.

Disassemble the main cylinder and inspect for wear or broken parts. I found the o-ring groove on the head valve piston broken and very brittle. Original was made of a black material. The replacement is made of a white nylon looking material. Assembled all parts with new o-rings and lubrication. One of the easiest machines I've ever worked on. It is now working like new and if it ever has a similar problem, I'll know where to go for parts. The original o-rings in mine didn't show any damage or much wear, but I felt it was better to replace them since the machine is several years old.
