This is a genuine OEM replacement pedal. It is the handle release pedal, located at the bottom rear of the machine. This pedal releases the lock for the handle, so that suction is directed through the main suction nozzle at the bottom of the machine. It is sold individually. Note that the Handle Release Pedal Spring is sold separately is part # H-633197001.

Screwdriver, Phillips and flathead.

1. Remove 4 phillips screws from upper cover on agitator head assembly.
2. Remove 1 phillips screw from each of two securing clamps on upright pivots.
3. Remove upright assembly from head assembly.
4. Remove broken release pedal.
5. Use flathead screwdriver to pry tension spring form broken release pedal.
6. Insert tension spring onto new release pedal.
7. Install release pedal.
8. Reinstall upright assembly onto head assembly pivot.
9. Reinstall securing clamps.
10. Reinstall upper cover.

Unscrewed the necessart torx screws. Removed and replaced handle release spring and pedal. Replaced torx screws. done in @ 45 min.
