The brew unit would not go into the home position. Brew unit would go all the way up and stay after machine was turned on. Unable to brew shots or steam.

The hall sensor is located on the bottom of the transmission assembly. You have to remove the transmission to replace it as far as I could tell. Remove the brew unit, remove the hex screw located behind. This is the screw that holds the transmission assembly in place. To remove the brew unit on from the back I did find it necessary to remove the screws mounting the water boiler so it could move out of the way. Once removed, observe the hall sensor board on bottom. Replace and route wires to the control board.

The connection mentioned in the parts was the connector on the output side of the water solenoid valve. Mine leaked causing the damage to the hall sensor.

It took a while to troubleshoot the issue.
I was not able to test my old Hall Sensor to make sure it was broken, so I made a guess and purchased the replacement.
Obviously, the guess was derived from numerous observations and comparisons on what was available online.
Instructions were also taken several videos.
Shipment cost was a little high for such a small part.
