2. Vacuum cleaned all of the loose hair from the tool
3. Separated the tool into two parts
4. Used vacuum and tool cleaning brush to loosen and remove hair that was caked throughout the tool
5. Used soldering iron to break the solder connection on one wire.
6. Used screwdriver to loosen other wire connections
7. Removed power cord.
8. Inserted new power cord
9. Soldered wire connection
10. Screwed all other wires into their original location]
11. Reassembled the case.
Just make sure that you insert the power cord with the grommet in the correct position so that it fits into the case.
