    Fit perfectly.

Genuine OEM Honda parts fit / work right the first time. 😊
Drive keys gettin' worn on 17-year-old Honda mower; went ahead & replaced pinions and springs while in there. ereplacementparts website is very user-friendly, organized, and efficient. Very helpful for 'fix rather than replace' folks. . . yes, I'm talking to you.

Exact replacement part. Make sure you have snap ring pliers and put new gear on the way the old part is is installd. ie: flat part of inside gear facing the way the old one was. If you get it on backwards the mower will not move when you put it in gear.
No problem in replacing it. However if you have never done a replacement recommend looking at you tube.

If you have not done this type of repair highly recommend looking at 'you-tube' for transmission repair for your model. There are several videos available and I looked at all of them. You have to remove quite a few parts on the underside of your mower to replace the transmission. Also recommend replacing drive belt while your at it. Two springs have to be removed. u-tube was great in showing how to loosen them. When you get the new transmission in place, rotate it and hook up the tension spring first. Then do the tension spring on the blade clutch. Make sure you remove all snap rings on the axel assembly. That is where the vice grips come in handy to release tension on the wheel adjuster so you can rotate the snap ring to get at it. Important to make sure you remember how all the spacers and washers are placed so you an get them on the right way. Completely remove all the blade clutch parts so you can get at the pully to remove and replace drive belt. Make sure you scrape all the grass from underside the mower so you can access the necessary hardware. Which is all metric. Everything went back together smoothly with no parts left over. There are several spacers to remove and replace to get the plastic panels on the underside. Make sure you remember where they go. Don't lose any parts, especially the little keys and springs that are under the wheel drive gear. When replacing the drive gears, make sure the inside flats on the gear are facing the right direction or when you engage the transmission the mower will not go forward. Again, you tube was in-valuable in making this repair. It is an expensive repair, about $260 for the transmission, drive belt and drive gears. I almost decided to buy a new mower to replace this one, but Honda makes good equipment so decided to repair it. I was quoted $500.00 by a mower repair shop to replace the transmission. So you can save labor cost, plus a great learning experience to see just how this thing was engineered and put together.

Basic know how to fix this stuff. Small engines are very easy to repair. You replacement parts definitely helps as they give you breakdowns and the schematics of everything that you may need to order to fix your machines. Kudos to you guys. I stopped using our local lawn and garden stores for repairs as their prices are obscene and eventually breaks down anyway because of whoever works on it.. I have been doing my own repairs for 5 years now and nothing goes wrong with it unless my employees neglect it in which they do because it's not theirs. E replacement parts generally gets my parts to me in a decent time frame that I can get these machines back up and running and into service.

Right rear wheel would not engage when put in drive mode.

    Carl - May 4, 2021
Removed the wheel, then the snap ring, thrust washer, pinion gear. Removed old key but found a small spring in a hole under the key to push it up for the ratcheting effect when pulling in reverse.
