2. Remove 4 front screws holding front half to back half of tool.
3. Remove gear and pinion
If gear and pinion has visible chunks of gear missing do the following.
4. Remove hammer & anvil (there is a small washer that the hammer sits on don't loose it in the grease).
5. Remove all old grease to ensure removal of all metal debris to prevent damage to new gear and pinion.
6. Grease all components.
Assembly.
1. Place the rear housing (electric motor) on end with opening facing up.
2. Install new gear and pinion (don't forget to add a little grease to it.
3. Install hammer with small washer first.
4. Install anvil.
5. Install front housing secure with 4 screws.
