    Carburetor gummed up, flooded, dirt under needle seat

    Screwdriver, Pliers, Socket set, compressed air and carb cleaner, box knife

    1. removed the Generator carburetor
    2. disassembled the carburetor
    3.scraped old gasket from two halves.
    4. thoroughly cleaned the carburetor parts with cleaner and compressed air
    5. reassembled the carburetor with new gaskets and made correct needle screw adjustments
    6. re-installed on the generator.
    7. started the engine in 2 pulls
    8. adjusted the governor for proper electrical output

    Carburetor was all plugged up needed all new parts

    Disassemble complete carburetor and do a total rebuild works perfectly retapping the threaded holes and new needle and seat are the key

    Upper carburetor flange broke requiring replacement

    The repair was pretty straight forward. One aspect that took a while to figure out is that you have to remove the jet and tube through the main jet adjusting screw on the bottom to be able to remove the upper carburetor assembly.
    Also I had to slightly ream the holes in the new assembly to get the float pin to fit.

    Runs good now.
