This is an authentic Snapper replacement part, sourced from the original manufacturer for use with lawnmowers. The special gasket is commonly used to seal the connection between the two halves of the gearcase housing assembly. This gasket housing is available as an individual replacement part, please see model diagram for associative parts.

lawn mower gear case mounting stud was broken.

1. removed rear wheels. 2. removed rear drive axle and gear box. 3. opened gear box to gain access to the broken stud. 4. removed the head and splined remains of the old stud. cleaned the case and applied sealer to new stud and pressed it into the case. reassembled the gear case and axle. reinstalled the assembly on the mower. Filled the gear case with fresh "OO" grease.
The parts were the exact replacement parts. everything went together well.

Rear wheel shaft bearing went bad. Differential leaked oil.

Removed differential and rear wheels
Removed old bearing housing
Opened differential, Cleaned and replaced shaft seals and housing gasket
replaced bearing assembly
Reassembled everything......Works great
