    Honda carburetor
I bought all the gaskets and hoses for a Honda GC160 small engine because the engine would bog down and stall under load. After changing all the parts, the engine ran great.

    Perfect fit!
I received my order 2 days faster than was promised, which is always a plus. I needed a total of 3 gaskets, and they fit perfectly. Solved my fuel leak nicely.

    Dead Carburetor on Old Tiller

    Glory - January 19, 2016
👍 2 of 2 people found this instruction helpful
The carburetor on my 10+ year old tiller finally stopped working correctly. I took the old one off and put the new one on. It wasn't as hard as I'd envisioned. I had my husband check my work when he came home as I'd never done this before. It took a few pulls and my old tiller works great. Actually, it hasn't run that smoothly in a good many years.

Even for a total newbie like me there really aren't any special instructions. I just took everything off that I needed to while noting their position and how they were in there in the first place. Then replaced the parts and put it back together. The nice thing is that the only socket I needed was a 10mm. There were two short screws and two very long bolts holding it on and that's all. Really not a bad repair. I think my time is higher because it was my first ever engine repair. It would probably take a person who knows what they are doing far less time.

Replaced carb on tiller 5 HP Honda engine. Was back firing and low power.

    Duane - October 28, 2017
Found a couple of videos to look at before doing the repair. Took my time. Removed fuel tank. Drained fuel tank. Removed air box and filter. Removed Carb. Linkage was a bit tricky but it turned out well. Hoses removed fairly easy. Also replaced fuel filter and air filter. All went back together well. Also put in new spark plug and changed oil. Fresh gas and ready to go. A few pulls to get started as the carb was dry. Runs great. Just be careful not to bend linkage or stretch springs.

All I can say is that eREPLACEMENT got the parts to me fast with in 3 days that was great. I have used them before and have never had a bad deal with them. They are fast in shipping which is the best around as they get the parts to you. I recommend anyone needing parts to check them out first before going any place else.

The air cleaner cover was broke and missing, letting rain water into the engine

    Moriah - February 6, 2017
    1. Removed fuel tank
    2. Removed old air cleaner assembly and carburetor
    3. Replaced carb, gaskets, and air cleaner assembly
note- if you replace the carb you will need to get x2 on some of the gaskets
    4. Put fuel tank back on.
The motor runs good now, parts fit well, the only tricky part is keeping everything lined up when putting it back together. I drained the oil out of the engine and set it on its side with the carb up so I could ''stack'' the parts up as i put them on. Thanks for the prompt shipping!

I checked plug and it was getting fire. I then knew it was the fuel side that was not working. I removed carburetor and disassembled it . (Make sure and remove throttle return spring first or you may lose it.) I found trash inside carb. I cleaned it up and reassembled and installed it. Engine would start with choke out but would not run without choke. Suspecting a vacuum leak,I sprayed some carb cleaner at base of carb where it bolted to the head and had a big rpm change. I then knew it was a vacuum leak. I took my flashlight and found the plastic block between carb and head had a Crack down the center. I ordered another block and the gaskets for the carb mounting. put it all together and it runs like new.

Honda Excell Pressure Washer - Gummed Up Carb

    Mike - June 20, 2016
After purchasing a new pump for my old Honda Excell pressure washer, I was bummed to find out that my carb had apparently fouled/gummed over the winter. I spent a few hours and bucks on trying to clean the carb, but to no avail. After testing the fuel pump to see if was functioning perfectly I was very pleased to see that for only $28 I could get the carb, gaskets, and a new air cleaner from here!! Having already taken the old carb on/off a few times I was plenty familiar with the myriad of items that have to be held up and go through two bolts for this engine/carb setup. After 4-5 pulls(cause the fuel bowl was dry), the engine started right up. I was finally able to pressure wash my driveway this past weekend and the engine fired on the first pull and ran for 7 hours without fault. Love the great price for parts, and fast shipping here, and will certainly return if anything else should fail on my small engines!!

Engine faltered when put under load

    Thomas - May 29, 2016
    Tool Type

    Engine

    Difficulty

    Easy

    Time

    15-30 minutes

    Tools Used

    Screwdriver, Socket set, compressor, scraper

Removed air filter, carburetor, fuel tank, fuel pump, spark plug and associated hardware. Disassembled carburetor, cleaned with carburetor cleaner and air pressure. Assembled carburetor, cleaned fuel tank. Installed carburetor, with new gaskets. Installed fuel tank, new fuel pump and new spark plug. Runs like a champ.
First thing to check with this problem is fuel cap. If vent is plugged, engine will starve for fuel. Just loosen the cap and try to run. If it works OK then the cap vent is plugged.
Make sure to use fresh fuel.
Suggest installing a fuel filter if line if not installed.
Make sure you check the drawing online and make sure you purchase the correct number of gaskets.
