    I followed the instructions on the web site but the chuck was on the shaft so tight I had to use an impact gun to break it loose. Other than that it was a piece of cake. I didn't need a new retention screw but bought one just in case. Left hand threaded screws are hard to find!

    1) Remove Drill Chuck
    2) Drill hole in the old screw using appropriate bit per the screw extractor user manual.
    3) Use drill extractor to remove old broken chuck screw
    4) Reinstall drill chuck.
    5) Install new screw
    6) Torque appropriately

    Drill chuck was worn and gearbox was not working as it should

    The gearbox that I ordered was in pieces the gears and bearings was all apart .and some of the bearings were missing along with the two roller pins .No instructions on how this is assembled .No one would help me so I used some pieces out of my old gear box and just figured out how it was assembled

    Remove screws from drill then remove cover and move heat sink and install new gear assembly put back heat sink on motor and cover

    I threaded the new chuck onto the drill shaft and then installed the retaining screw down the center of the fully open chuck and used a screwdriver to tighten counterclockwise.

    1. Removed the battery.
    2. Opened the drill casing by removing all screws.
    3. Removed the gear assembly and the chuck as one unit.
    4. Replaced with the assembled gearbox and the chuck.
    5. Secured the casing.
    6. Attached the battery.
    7. Tested, worked just fine.
