    I had tried to just replace the starter rope but made a BIG mistake. I removed the pulley assy and sprung the spring. Also had two bolts and nuts fused together. My mower is 20 years old. Anyway with the new parts installed in just a few minutes the mower was running on the 2nd pull.

    hit a pipe bent key and dented flywheel keyway .

    Lawnmower wheel axle broken, rear wheels in bad shape, pinion gears worn.

    Removed the circlips and pinion gears and one of the transmission axle holders. Removed transmission spring and transmission. Removed wheel axle. Installed new wheel axle, spacer washers and height adjuster. Replaced transmission and spring, Replaced Transmission axle holder. This model HRR 216K6 VXA was more intensive to repair. Newer models are easier to repair due to design changes.

    Starter pull housing bolts broke

    Removed starter pull housing from engine. Housing bolts were broke. Ereplacememt had diagram with part numbers. Easy to order. Everything fit perfect

    2. Installed the new recoil starter housing with replacement nuts.
    3. Removed the broken air cleaner housing.
