The heater had developed a shutdown problem and had fuel in the tank, a flame in the chamber and was not over heating.

This is an easy repair. The Flame Control Board is identical to the existing one and is a pin-for-pin replacement. 1) After removing the line cord plug from power outlet, remove the screws holding the decorative panels on the sides and remove the screws that hold the Flame Control board in place. 2) Remove the leads from the push-on terminals on the board and the photocell connection. Note all connection points. 3) Replace the connectors and replace the screws holding the board and side panels. 4) Apply power and turn the unit on. That's it.

Heater wouls start and run for about 30-60 seconds then automatically turn off. It would turn back on if I turned the powere off then on. But it would only run for a few seconds then turn back off.

    1. Removed control plate.
    2. Removed top cover of heater.
    3. Removed 2 screws from high limit control. Used pliers to pull tabs (I did not want to break wire connectors). Placed wires onto new high limit control then screwed control backnin place.
    4. Removed screws holding flame control assembly. Pulled one wire off at a time with pliers, hooking each wire to new assembly one at at time as they are removed. Secured new assemly to heater with screws.
    5. Replaced top cover and secured with screws.
    6. Replaced control panal with screws.
    7. Heater now stays on until desired temperature (using thermostat knob).
