This is genuine Makita replacement field that is specially manufactured for use with angle grinders. It is a vital component of an electric motor that powers the tool. A field generally is damaged by overloading the power tool. Please note, a faulty or damaged armature can further extend damage to the field. It is highly recommended to replace both carbon brushes when replacing a field. Includes one (1) field per order.
Replacing a field is a relatively simple task that should only require a screwdriver and pliers.
• Make sure the saw is unplugged
• Remove the side handle
• Remove the guard
• Remove the gear housing
• Remove the rear cover
• Disengage the motor brushes
• Remove the armature
• Remove the baffle plate
• Remove the switch button
• Remove the old field
• Install the new field
• Reassemble and test the grinder
