This is a genuine OEM sourced component which is specially designed for use with Craftsman air compressors. This is the main fan which connects to the motor and it is what moves the air. It provides an identical replacement for a missing or damaged component that was originally installed on a new unit. Please note the hardware that is used to secure this fan is sold separately. Keep in mind this high-quality fan is made of durable plastic and is sold individually.

    Broken piston rod, ruined cylinder, broken fan

    Screwdriver, Wrench Set, Nutdriver

    1) Removed the other plastic case from the motor/air compressor assembly
    2) Removed the head off the side with the broken piston (it was clear which one it was)
    3)Removed the broken fan and counterweight from the crankshaft, slid off broken rod half.
    4) Reverse above but put new parts in place of broken ones and used new gaskets that were supplied with the kit.
    5) Tested function then tightend all nuts/screws.
    6) Replace plastic case. Repair done

    Removed air filter then two screws from the housing. Remove the housing. Removed one bolt that held the old fan in place. And reverse the process to install the fan and cover
