    Blades would not stop running for a long time due to spring mechanism not retracting. Air filter very dirty, and time to change the fuel filter anyway.

    Reattach spring and excercise mechanism. Add small amount of grease to all moving parts except belt. Now it retracts properly and the blades stop within about 20 seconds. Easy to replace air filter. Pair of pliers releases clips on both sides of fuel filter...about one minute. Will use oil drain tube next time we change the oil.

    Extension spring broke in two,which caused my rider to not have throttle pedal(multiple speeds).

    Searched for the location where the broken off piece of the spring hooked up to.
    Took the still attached piece of original spring off & attached new spring to that location,had to pull a little on new spring to attach the other end to the mower deck location designated for hook up.

    Removed the mower deck. removed the battery. Removed the belt retainer from the engine pulley. Removed the primary drive belt. Removed the transaxle drive spring and removed the transaxle top pulley and removed the secondary drive belt. Removed the variable speed pulley and lubed it with WD40. Reinstalled the variable speed pulley. Reinstalled the secondary belt and reinstalled the transaxle pulley. Reinstalled the transaxle drive spring. Reinstalled the primary drive belt. Removed and replaced the mower deck belt and removed and sharpened and reinstalled the blades. Reinstalled the mower deck and reinstalled the engine belt retainer.
