This part comes directly from KitchenAid. This End Cover is used on all 4.5 quart and some 5 quart KitchenAid stand mixers. This Cover is made of metal and comes in the Onyx Black finish. The Cover is used to protect the electronics and moving parts that control the speeds of the mixer. This part has two feet to latch onto the Lower Gear Casing when installed. If either of the feet break off, then this part needs to be replaced. The Cover is held on with one Screw (part number 241877).
