This genuine OEM air cleaner element is also known as an air filter, and it is found in the air filter housing or air intake system of your lawn equipment. It removes dust and debris from the air entering the engine to safeguard it from damage. It is a paper element with an orange frame. If the cleaner element appears damaged or excessively clogged with debris, it needs replacement. For this simple replacement, no tools are needed. Press the retaining tabs down to release the air filter housing cover. With the cover removed, pull the old cleaner element off by hand. Install the new air cleaner by placing it in the housing and aligning the lower cover tabs with the housing and then snap the upper tabs into place. Install the new cleaner element by positioning it in the housing then align the lower cover tabs with the housing and snap the upper tabs into place. It is recommended that you check your air cleaner element every three months and replace it if necessary. Since this replacement part is sold individually, it is a good idea to keep extras on hand for regular equipment maintenance.
