Product Description ?

This authentic manufacturer-sourced part is specially designed for use with Kohler engines that are commonly installed on lawn and garden equipment. The starter motor provides an initial motion, engage the flywheel to start the engine. It is an identical replacement for a faulty or damaged component that was installed on a new unit. Make sure to refer to the owner's manual and the diagrams for your model for the correct repair procedure. A screwdriver will be needed to remove the old electric starter and connect the new one.

    Almost perfect?
    The starter motor arrived in a timely manor even though the smart post system added a few extra needless delivery days. Every thing fit and worked well, except for the mounting studs/screws. They were about 1/4 inch too short. Had to use the screws from the old motor.

    disconnect Battery
    Remove Battery cover and Engine cover
    Remove two nut on top of starter, remove starter wire.
    Install Starter, Covers and connect Battery

    Took engine cover off, disconnected power line to starter, removed two nuts holding starter, replaced starter.
