Product Description ?

This drive belt 54 is a genuine manufacturer sourced replacement part. This is the main deck belt that rotates the blades on riding lawn mowers/tractors. Over time this belt will stretch and wear out, eventually breaking. Check on the belt periodically and replace it when needed to maintain top performance. Please note, this includes one (1) rubber belt per order.

To replace this drive belt you will need a set of wrenches and pliers.

• Disconnect the spark plug wire
• Lower the mower deck to the lowest position
• Move the blade engagement lever to the Off position
• Roll the belt off the engine pulley from between the belt guide and pulley
• Remove the bow-tie pins securing the left and right lift arms to the mower deck
• Remove the bow-tie pin from the front suspension arm
• Turn the front wheels to the left for easier access
• Raise the mower deck lift lever to the highest position
• Slide the mower deck to the left and disconnect the blade engagement cable
• Carefully slide the mower deck out from under the right side of the riding lawn mower
• Remove the bolts from the mower deck belt pulley covers and pull the covers off
• Loosen but don’t remove the nuts on the top of the idler pulleys
• Install the new mower deck belt
• Reassemble and test the mower

Had to evaluate the placement of the bar as the original part had been removed and schematics did not advise WHERE the bar attached. Had to consult several Youtube videos. The belt is the best quality, toughest and best performing I have ever put on this machine.
