This replacement drag washer is specially designed for use with Penn reels. It is supplied directly from original equipment manufacturer. By setting the tension on the drag washer, it will either allow the drag on your reel to loosen up or you can tighten it. This part does wear out often, it is advised to have a few extra on hand. Please note, this compound washer is sold individually.
You will need a screwdriver to complete this repair.

Full tear down, everything cleaned out or replaced. Was a sentimental reel owned by a grandfather who has passed. It was a pleasure to give his grandson back the reel he was taught with.

Disassembled the entire reel to clean, lubricate (grease and oil) and inspect every part. It can be very difficult to recall the placements so be very careful. Manuals and videos do not clearly indicate which side of a part goes face up (or down).
