This part is made of plastic with metal latches and is supplied with the black handle. Please note the white handle is no longer available. A screwdriver is needed to make this repair, please make sure that the appliance is unplugged before beginning any repair. The handle is sold as an individual replacement part.

Turned off power to dishwasher.
Removed inside door panel screws using power drill with correct drill bit attachment. Removed old door latch- hardest part was pulling off wire rectangle pieces Plugged new door latch into wire plug.
Replaced inner door panel.
Turned the power to dishwasher back on.
Ran a rinse cycle to make sure it worked and no water leaks. Saved a lot of money not having to buy new dishwasher

I'm 80 and disabled . Two of my Deacons from church did the physical part while I supervised with your easy to understand directions. They are in their late 70s and late 80s. Your presise instructions made it easy for three old folks to handle this repair.simple..turned breaker off, unscrewed and removed door panel. Unplugged broken latch, removed, replaced with new latch, plugged wires back in, replaced door panel and turned breaker back on Done! Many thanks

Broken plastic handle

Parts Used
Remove the inside panel of the door, there are eleven torx screws. Goes fast if you use a power drill and T-20 bit. The T-20 bit is essential, you will not be able to remove the inner door panel without it. Then remove old handle assembly and install new. There are two electrical connections that just pull to disconnect. Replace door panel and you are done.
