It spins when the vacuum is in use, allowing the bristles to agitate carpets and upholstery. This loosens dirt and debris for a more thorough clean than could be achieved with suction alone.

1) Loosened & removed 2 screws on top of motor housing
2) Removed plastic cover from the motor housing by simply lifting it up and away
3) Removed old worn brush roller-(Distribulator) and belt.
4) installed new distribulator
