This part is made of metal, and is attached to the connecting rod of the piston so that it can dip into the oil reservoir and carry oil upward to lubricate the engine. Disassembled engine
Removed crankshaft
The old rod melted onto the crankshaft so I sanded the rod journal on the crank so the rod would fit
Reassembled, using rtv on crankcase and new head gasket
Engine fired up first pull
