The metal cutting blade fits between the blade adapter and the bell blade support and will need to be replaced if it becomes cracked or broken. A set of pliers and a socket set may be needed when replacing the blade. This is available as an individual replacement part.

2. Replaced rear flap with new flap. (No tools required)
3. Replaced blade adapter and blade (3/8 drive socket with 6 inch extension, forget the
socket size)
a. Either lift lawn mower up between saw horses or turn mower on side (make sure gas has
been drained.
b. Remove bolt holding blade and adapter. Make a note of the order of installation for the
parts. The attach bolt is a standard RH thread bolt.
c. Install the new parts in the same order as the removed parts. If available, use anti-seize
on the bolt threads for easier removal next time you need to sharpen the blade.

After the removal of the old parts new parts was installed
Hex head bolt medium shank, 7 in wheel, washer and nut (2) times in the front

Install new blade with blade chock to ensure blade will not move upon torque being exerted on blade adapter .
