This genuine OEM crisper pan cover in refrigerators is a removable frame that fits around the crisper glass shelf insert (sold separately). It is white in color, with dimensions of approximately 27 inches by 20 inches. The cripser glass shelf insert is located above the crisper drawers, and it is responsible for helping the crisper drawers maintain the optimal humidity level to preserve the freshness of fruits and vegetables for longer periods. The crisper pan cover supports and stabilizes the pan to reduce the risk of slippage and breakage. It also acts as a seal to stop moisture from escaping and prevent the entry of fluids and debris into the drawers. Over time the cover may become cracked, or warped leading to inconsistent humidity levels, loss of moisture, leakages, and potential damage to the glass pan. To remove the crisper pan cover/frame, carefully lift it up and pull it out of the refrigerator. Detach the glass shelf insert from the old cover and place it into the new cripser cover/frame. Slowly slide the new cover and pan onto the designated slots in the refrigerator until they are stable and securely positioned.
