This OEM lower crisper pan cover is also known as a vegetable or produce drawer cover. It is the frame that supports the crisper pan and holds the crisper glass insert. With raised edges, it prevents spills from spreading. It creates a barrier between the vegetable or fruit compartment and the rest of the fridge, while working in conjunction with the insert to maintain the ideal humidity level, ensuring your produce stays fresh and crisp. It is designed with molded glide rails to allow the drawer to slide smoothly. It is located at the bottom of the refrigerator, above the lower crispers. The lower crisper pan cover can wear out over time, particularly when it is overloaded with items. To replace the cover, begin by opening the fridge door and pulling the drawer out of its housing. Then, remove the cover glass by pressing the front side upwards and sliding the glass out. Proceed to push out the frame of the cover and slide it out. It is important to note that this cover is sold individually and separately from the glass insert and the pan.
