    Bad power cable

    Screwdriver, Pliers, Wire crimpers and wire terminals

    1. Removed cover with torx drive screw driver
    2. Removed cable clamp
    3. Removed screws on wire terminals
    4. Trimmed and stripped wires to proper length
    5. Crimped new terminals on wire ends (terminals not included with replacement cable)
    6. Reconnected terminals
    7. Attached cable clamp
    8. Replaced 4 screws in cover
    The hard part is positioning the screws in their proper location. Space is limited and hard to get screws started

    Power cord outer jacket was cracking

    1. Remove screws to open sander.
    2. Remove old power cord from cord clamp.
    3. Remove black and white wire from switch/trigger, noting black and white with locations.
    4. Insert black and white wires into switch/trigger in same location as previously located.
    5. Reinstall cord clamp and assemble sander body halves and install screw in proper locations.
    6. Plug into electrical outlet and test operation.

    Simply reconnected the new cord and replaced all screws. Had some difficulty getting the cover to properly set in place but finally managed to tap it in with a rubber hammer.

    Remove the screw from the end housing cover
    Make a wiring diagram of the switch and where the internal parts are placed
    Disconnect the wires from the switch.
    Remove the old cord and slide it through the hole in the back cover, place the grommet on the cord. Connect the wires to the switch and hook up the internal parts.

    Removed the outer casing (2 screws), removed the old wire (2 screws), reversed the procedure with the new wire and the replacement grommet.
