This kit includes one olive, one insert and one brake hose connector. This is an essential kit if you are adjusting or replacing brake hoses. For this repair, you will first need to remove the brake hoses from the lever. When installing the new part, you will first slide the rubber cover gasket on, slide the bolt on, and finally the olive. Push the connector into the hose with your hand. If you have plastic clamp blocks this will help secure the hose while you install the connector. Then use a hammer to knock the connector into place so it is flush with the cable. Push hose back into the lever about a half an inch or so. Turn the bolt into place to secure the hose. It will now crush the olive to form a seal. It is important that this is secured tight enough, or you risk blowing the hose out of place when you press down on the brake lever, losing fluid and damaging your brakes. Use a torque wrench to secure in place.
