This is a quick release skewer for rear hubs. It has an over lock nut of 135mm, and an overall length of 173mm. A quick-release skewer is used to attach the wheel to the bicycle. The rod is placed inside the hollow axle of the wheel and tightened with a special nut. The lever is closed to tighten the cam and secure the wheel to the fork. Wheels that have this quick release design can be easily removed from the bike’s frame and replaced without needing to use tools, you just simply open and close the lever. It is extremely important to ensure this part is properly and securely tightened.
