This is an authentic replacement part manufactured for use with Honda small engines. The ignition coil creates and electric charge that is sent to the spark plug that creates an arc to ignite the fuel/air mix in the cylinder. A failing or worn out ignition coil will cause difficulty starting the engine and could lead to a non-start situation, and the ignition coil will need to be replaced. This ignition coil is sold as an individual replacement part.

This part was actually for a friend of mine. The repair facility he went to said the part was no longer available. He also had mechanics from his excavation company looking for the coil with no luck. I told him I would try to find it. I went to ereplacementparts.com as I always do and had the part within a few days.

looked for spark from sparkplug found none replaced plug still no spark removed air filter and carburator to get to pull start rope removed cover 2 bolts changed ignition coil with new reinstall all parts started on 4 pull
