This is a genuine manufacturer-sourced part which is specially designed for use with Craftsman Snowblowers. The chute control cable guide attaches the chute control cables to the chute control lever and guides each cable as the lever is moved. This part is sold individually. Tools you will need for this repair are Pliers and an Adjustable Wrench.

    2. Unbolted cute deflector on same side.
    3. Removed broken chute tilt cable guide.
    4. Replace chute tilt cable guide.
    5. Rebolted chute deflector.
    6. Installed screw through chute into chute tilt cable guide.

    The top part of the Shute would adjust with the controls due to the square hole rounding out

    Removed the top directional portion of chute.
    Removed the damaged Chute and replaced it with new part.
    Installed top directional part on new Chute. Tightened all hardware. Tested operation.
    Works like new.

    Chute cable adjuster was broke

    Well first I would like to thank you guys for the part . I looked all over for it and you were my last chance . I don't know how many phone calls I made looking for that part. The customer service was so friendly and helpful I almost didn't want to get off the phone. But as far as the repair it was easy I took off the broken Chute Tilt along with the cables, then put the new one on, and it's working like new again . I told all my friends about your site .
