    1. Removed the old chute control. #2 Philips screw driver.
    2. Old control provided a good understanding for installing the new control.
    3. Complete installation instructions provided with diagrams.
4 New control came with everything needed including white grease and screws.
    5. Followed the step by step instructions for installation. Diagrams clear and helpful.
    6. Instructions had special note for the exact placement of the trigger, to assure proper operation.
    7. After cable assembly and placement of the trigger, one screw secures the two control halves to allow the control to slip the over the four-way chute control lever.
    8. Align the two holes in the control with the holes in the four-way shut control lever. Two screws secure the the control to the four-way shut control lever.
    9. Tested, the trigger released the lock from the chute control box and the chute swiveled freely, left and right.

Loss of ability to control chute direction.

Repair is not complete. The control assembly has been replaced, no problem, and works. Unfortunately, the 4 way clutch cable is not the cable needed for the trigger in the handle which permits the release of the latch in the forward gearbox, allowing the chute to swivel.

It seems a shame to buy the whole forward gearbox assembly (and toss a perfectly good gearbox) just to get a replacement cable.

I will try to find the correct cable for that application. (the trigger cable sheath failed in subzero weather, or I wouldn't have the whole problem in the first place).
